A world-class HUB in the Phocean city of Marseille

6700 m² building on 3 levels, a height of approximately 18 m, consisting of a data storage area and an office area. This is the fourth building that Interxion has built after MRS1, MRS2 and MRS3, in Marseille, which has become the 9th largest HUB in the world. This building has an available power of 13.6 MW. The main telecoms and cloud operators will be able to use this site for their activities, knowing that Marseille is a key geographical location for interconnecting continents thanks to the presence of very high speed submarine cables.

From an environmental point of view, this site has a "river cooling" system to optimise energy use.Interxion uses water from an underground river to cool its data centre.

For the construction, Bouygues chose the column shoes to simplify the construction phase, in particular by having only 2 column lifts and 3 on the expansion joint. The self-stability of the columns was also a factor in the choice, for safety reasons.

The DELTABEAM® beams made it possible to gain 34 cm on the height of the beam drops and therefore to allow the passage of the very numerous networks on this type of building.

The Colift allows the handling of the columns in complete safety with a remote lifting system. The use of Peikko's solutions allowed us to optimize the schedule.
