Peikko has delivered Gravity Foundation Technology for the Pajukoski Wind Park, located in nearby Ylivieska, West Finland. The project consists of nine wind turbines from Vestas with a hub height of 126 meters, with an estimated annual production of 97 GWh.

The deliveries of Peikko’s solution comprised of steel components for the foundation. Peikko is also responsible for the foundation design and structural calculations. The foundation solution from Peikko saves on materials used and decreases the total CO₂ emissions. When both reinforcement and design are supplied by the same company, the quality control becomes easier and site work faster. The total construction time is reduced by using Peikko's solutions.

The Pajukoski Wind Farm in Ylivieska is a joint venture between Finnish Taaleritehdas and German Reconcept GmbH. The companies have invested 50 million Euros in the wind farm that will produce 97 GWh of electricity per year – enough to provide power to almost 30 000 apartments. The construction company Maastorakentajat delivered at Pajukoski both design and execution of infrastructure ranging from excavation to concrete construction and electrical cabling.

Located in Ylivieska, the project will feature Vestas V126-3.3MW turbines atop a hub height of 126m in order to maximize production even when the wind speed is low. After Maastorakentajat’s job is done the towers and turbines will be installed one by one during summer months so that the entire farm is operational by October 2015.
