Peikko visited a project at the Maasvlakte near Rotterdam, where Construction Combination Amaliahaven (Hochtief, Ballast Nedam and Van Oord) is constructing the new quay wall for the expansion of the harbor.

For this huge project, Peikko delivered PSB® shear reinforcement.

We asked the work planner of this project and other involved parties, what the experience has been with Peikko's PSB® anchors so far.

The work planner says: "The Peikko PSB® anchors are easier to process in the reinforcement because they can be fitted from above. This is also considerably faster than standard stirrups which are normally used. In addition, safety is a priority on the building site. By using Peikko PSB® anchors it is possible to work a lot safer."

For the shear reinforcement, the bent PSB®-J Headed Anchors with single head dowels and the straight PSB Headed Anchors with double head dowels are used in the main reinforcement for the new quay wall. The quay wall will be built on the construction site in 20-meter segments and will be 1,800 meters long in total.
